The IAF Board of Directors serve as the guiding force behind the educational values of Innovation Academy. Comprised of a diverse group of dedicated community individuals, the Board provides strategic direction, oversight and stewardship to assure the school’s continued success in advancing our next generation of leaders. Our Board members bring a wealth of expertise, real-world experience, and passion to the mission and values of IA.
Scott Doll | Executive Director
Scott Doll has served as the Executive Director of the IA Foundation since its inception. His dedication to supporting the students at IA has been invaluable to the success of our school. He is an experienced CEO/COO with a demonstrated history of working and consulting for both corporate and non-profit organizations. Skilled in various operational and executive leadership roles within corporate and nonprofit organizations, Financial Management, Business Development, Event Management, Team Building, Fundraising, and Leadership. Scott is currently the Assistant COO at American Commerce Bank in Johns Creek. He focuses his efforts on Market and Community Development.
Scott Kent
Scott Kent is Principal at Fulton County Schools Innovation Academy, where his leadership has significantly shaped the school’s direction towards a project-based learning curriculum and a real-world problem-solving philosophy. Drawing from his extensive experience as an Assistant Principal at both Riverwood International Charter School and Centennial High School, Scott has been pivotal in fostering educational environments that prioritize hands-on learning. His focus on integrating technology into the curriculum has not only enhanced teaching methodologies, but also encouraged active collaboration between students, teachers and the community. Through his leadership, Scott has established partnerships with numerous businesses to provide students with practical learning opportunities, aligning education with current technological advancements and future career paths.
Janet Rodgers
Janet Rodgers has worked in the Hospitality Management Industry for more than 30 years. She has a diverse background working for various resort and corporate hotels, as well as the DeKalb Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Janet currently serves as the President and CEO of the Alpharetta CVB, where she focuses her efforts on positioning the City of Alpharetta as a regionally, nationally, and globally recognized premier tourism destination by developing quality programs and facilities to attract overnight visitors to Alpharetta’s 30 modern and upscale hotels. Serving in this role for more than twenty years, she also manages a dynamic team of marketing professionals focusing on areas of advertising, special promotions, public relations, creative services, website management, social media, group sales, finance, HR, technology, research, photography, videography, influencers and content creators. Janet’s team also operates the Alpharetta Welcome Center.
Gary Nichols
With a visionary perspective and a wealth of experience in technology leadership spanning over 40 years, Gary Nichols serves as the CEO of InterDev, a leading IT solutions company. InterDev provides innovative, customized technology solutions with exemplary customer service to municipalities and businesses throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is currently working on a master’s degree in Cybersecurity at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Gary has served on the Advisory Board of the National Technology Security Coalition, Security Industry Association Utilities Advisory Board, Roswell Economic Development & Tourism Board, and volunteers with TAG-Ed, FutureCity.org, and Habitat for Humanity.
Rena Youngblood
Rena Youngblood currently serves as the inaugural Executive Director of the Computer Museum of America (CMoA). Since the museum’s opening in July 2019, Rena has played a pivotal role in shaping its trajectory and ensuring its success. With a comprehensive and strategic approach, Rena guides the organization towards its mission, ensuring financial stability, and maintaining the organization’s integrity and reputation in the community. Prior to her role at CMoA, Rena held key positions in the education sector. She served as the Senior Director of Charter School Services for the Association of American Educators and, before that, as the Director of Member Services at the Georgia Charter Schools Association. In these capacities, she honed her skills in educational leadership and community engagement.
Jodie Hart
Jodie Hart is the Manager of Governmental Affairs for Atlanta Gas Light (AGL). Prior to AGL, she managed the Southern Company Gas employee volunteer program for six years. Jodie has served on the Board of Directors of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce (GNFCC) and currently sits on the Government Affairs Committee. She is also on the Forsyth Chamber Board of Directors, the Cobb Chamber Government Affairs Committee, and is the Past President of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta. Previously, Jodie served on the Board of Directors of Cool Girls and is currently on its Advisory Board. She also served two terms as President of the Women’s Energy Network of Greater Atlanta. Jodie is a recipient of the 2013 Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award, which recognizes exceptional volunteer service providing scouting for disadvantaged youth in challenging urban and rural areas.
Amy Bell
Amy Bell joined Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) in 2006, where she began her career in the Montgomery, Alabama office. In 2016, she relocated to Atlanta to lead the Georgia Architecture team. In 2020, the architecture presence under her leadership grew to Savannah and Augusta. Over the years, Amy has contributed numerous award-winning designs to GMC’s design portfolio, in addition to managing complex educational, commercial and municipal projects throughout the Southeast. She plays a key role in the architectural division, however, her influence spans throughout the company through leadership of several firm-wide initiatives, committees and community outreach programs.
Alex Girrbach
Alex Girrbach is Director of Accounting & Operations at the GNFCC. He has more than 10 years of experience working in the Chamber industry and led GNFCC to their 5-star accreditation in 2021, which is a nationally recognized US Chamber program. Alex will be completing his Institute for Organization Management (IOM) professional development program from the US Chamber in the Summer of 2024. His experience also includes non-profit finance, fundraising, and organizational management. He has served at other non-profit organizations, including Treasurer for the Audi Club of Georgia for the past 6 years.
Perian Rogers
With nearly three decades of marketing experience, Perian Rogers has helped individuals and business owners to grow their business. As founder of Your Vibe Marketing (YVM), Perian enjoys creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and a commitment to hands-on partnerships with clients while building successful marketing campaigns. As a Marketing Executive for companies such as AXA Financial and Howard Capital Management, she has a proven track record of creating substantial business growth. She has built numerous collaborative partnerships with business owners that culminate in dynamic strategies, client-focused marketing tactics, and sustainable expansion.
Ehab Jaleel
Ehab Jaleel is the Executive Director of Amana Academy Charter Schools, an emerging network of STEM-themed Expeditionary Learning K-8 public schools in Alpharetta and South Cobb. A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, with degrees in engineering and applied psychology, he draws on a 20-year corporate career at GE and Coca-Cola to create opportunities that promote intercultural outcomes and propel students to achieve more. Ehab’s education and community focus extends to a number of organizations including Leadership Atlanta; the Advisory Council for North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC); a board member of the Atlanta International Night Market; and a Regional Director for the Georgia Tech President Scholars Selection Committee. He led the governance committee on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Charter Schools Association, served on the GNFCC’s Education and Tech400 Committees, and as a board member at U-Beyond, a youth mentorship organization. Ehab is proud to have received the Arab American High Achiever Award from The Alif Institute.
